Professional Experience

2017-present:
The Blanton Museum of Art Security Supervisor
  • Maintained and facilitated daily museum security operations for a three-building complex.
  • Supervised and managed a security staff of 20 guards and their daily rotations.
  • Work closely with building maintenance and facility operations.
  • Proficiency in Genetec Alarm systems and Altru scheduling.
  • Worked closely with University police to monitor major events and security-based projects.
  • Led monthly continued education trainings for my security staff.
  • Co-led Curated Conversations public programs focused on gallery and museum security.

2013-2014:
 
The Frist Center for the Arts Martin ArtQuest Educator
-     Developed programs within the Education Department by researching art exhibitions.
-     Directed art-related lessons & activities, and teaching programs within Frist        Center. 
-     Led and taught art lessons and topics in studio classes of K-12 and post graduate students.

2012-2011:
 
On-call Educator for Martin ArtQuest/Summer Camp Teaching Assistant
- Assisted guests in The Frist Center’s Martin ArtQuest Gallery
- Responsible for education in each Martin ArtQuest station/ materials inventory/stock
- Responsible for large number of K-12 children in assistance with another art teacher
- Assisted and led art related projects and lessons based on exhibition content. 

2009:
Tennessee Governors’ School for The Arts at Middle Tennessee State University teaching-assistant.
-Taught/ lead art classes in sculpture, painting, and ceramics for high school students.
- Supervised students on campus and dorms during non-studio times.
